With everyone trying to work out the best way to allow their team to work from home due to Coronavirus, we thought we’d share some of the apps we’ve been using for years now to allow our teams in different locations to work together and keep all our files and documents easily accessible by everyone.

help@tekeez.ukEvernote - Lets you keep notes/documents/diagrams etc in one place and can be accessed anywhere from any device and the web. You can set up different notebooks for legal documents, invoices, statements etc and keep everything perfectly organised for your whole team to access wherever they are.
1Password - Store all your important information, logins, bank details, credit card info in one place, fully encrypted and accessible by the whole team. Makes it easy to have super strong and secure passwords for all your online services without having to remember them all. Share different logins with different members of the team so that everyone has access to only the logins they need, no more having to ask a colleague to remind you of the password for a certain login.
Dropbox - Store all your files in the cloud securely and easily shareable. Accessible on all devices and the web. Using their new Smart Sync technology means that you don’t have to store the files on your laptop, they will download and open when you double click on them, ideal for users with less storage in their laptops.
Slack - Great way to stay in touch with all your team members when you’re all in different places. Set up different channels for general work chat, project specific talk and a random channel to share anything else you’d usually talk about in the office. A great way to keep in touch with your whole team without being too intrusive.
Zoom - A great way to have face to face video meetings, low system and broadband requirements, great video and audio and easy to invite people to meetings. Do make sure you set up your security options such as passwords and waiting rooms before you start.
TeamViewer - Makes it super easy to remotely connect back to your office pc if needed. Transfer files between machines so if there’s something on your PC desktop in the office that you need, you can easily transfer it back to your home PC. If you rely on devices that are in your office, such as a dedicated file server or on-site email, this is as close as you can come to working on your office PC while being at home (or anywhere else using the mobile apps).
Office 365 - Keeps all your email, calendars and contacts in the cloud so you can be fully connected and have all your emails to hand wherever you are. Connects to almost any email client on desktop, laptop, Windows, Mac and mobile devices. You can also use it via the fully featured webmail from any Internet connected device. Also allows you to run the desktop version of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) on up to 5 devices so you can install the full Office suite on your home PC while you’re working from home.
