How can I set my default printer?
If you have more than one printer, perhaps a mono laser for letters and an inkjet for photos, you will often print to one of them more often than the other and selecting the correct printer each time can become annoying.
On both Windows and Mac you can set the default printer easily so when you print you don’t need to change anything.
How can I ensure that all my devices are up to date?
Keeping your devices up to date is always very important, software updates allow bugs to be fixed, security issues to be addressed and new features to be added to all your devices. You'll usually get notified if there are any updates for your devices, but here we'll run through the most common machines and how you can check to see if you have any updates waiting to install.
Looking after your email account
One of the most important things you can do to look after your email account is to keep it as small as possible. All email accounts have a fixed size and if you fill your account up, it can be problematic to have to go through and remove emails via the webmail and delete things that you wanted to keep.

As you travel around with your laptop, you'll end up connecting to all sorts of WiFi networks and this can cause problems if you're back at home or in the office and there's a WiFi hotspot nearby that your device keeps trying to connect instead of your own connection.
