Multiple apps in slide over.
On iPadOS, you can have multiple apps running in slide over view. Once you've slid the window in from the side of the iPad screen, you can then swipe up to reveal other apps so you can quickly switch between them to quickly check your tweets, grab a password, or use one of the many other apps that work as a slide over window.
Pinned widgets on your Home screen. You can now pin your favourite widgets directly to your Home screen. This lets you always have the weather, news and other widgets available whenever your at the Home screen.
Desktop Safari.iPadOS now features a full desktop version of Safari, this means you get the same web browsing experience on your iPad as you would on your desktop or laptop. No more cut down mobile sites and you get a full download manager and can download any file either onto your iPad or directly into iCloud/Dropbox/OneDrive.
QuickPath swipe keyboard. The full size keyboard on iPadOS doesn't let you use the new QuickPath swipe features, but you can shrink the keyboard down and then you can swipe which makes it very easy to type if you're using one hand to hold the iPad and need to type quickly.
Access USB sticks and external hard drives. One of the biggest changes in iPadOS is that you can now access external storage devices such as USB sticks and external hard drives. You may need an adapter to plug your drive into the iPad, depending on what iPad you have and what external storage you have, but once connected, you'll see the external device in the Files app and can copy files to and from it easily.
